Nyborg Nelson (our parent company) is legendary. Nyborg Nelson was the first company to feature Scandinavian food and specialty items in midtown Manhattan NY, back in 1921! This store was popular and much loved. Here you could find Lute Fish! A second store opened around the corner, and this store had 2 floors, which included a restaurant, gourmet deli and a gift shop. Local Swedish resident, Greta Garbo would shop there quite often! By 1977 Nyborg Nelson had become very well known in the city, and opened a third store in the Citi Corp Building, a few blocks away. It was an immediate hit! The Citi Corp store lasted until 1995. Today, we feature classic Swedish food, gifts and specialty items online as Sweden's Best! We're proud to keep the great Nyborg Nelson tradition going! Our goal is NOT to have a confusing web site with hundreds of items, but a simple and convenient way people can enjoy classic Swedish food, gifts and specialty items... It's Sweden's Best! |
